No rout in many case more challenge (and unrealistic) since the effect of "scary units",generals,"shock value" (cavalry charge from the back)... removed so you will have to fight to the last enemy.

It's a nice idea for once who like another experience for RTW

PS:How can i disable units moral anyway? Just want to know how

go to the rome total war then xgm/preferences open up the file named preferences with wordpad or something similar and change MORALE:TRUE to MORALE:FALSE its the 5th one from the top
my saba campaign is reaching a high point now, im at war with EK, Parthia and the Ptolemies, my current target is to take Thebes from the Ptolemies, Pura and Patala from EK then move up to conquer Parthia
i finished my war with TE after their defeat at the hand of multiple enemies became inevitable
i will post a picture in a few minutes

on a different note, is it me or is the Saba urban barracks useless? it doesnt unlock any more units and its only effect is to drop tax income by a further 10% and lets not mention the 16 turns and 10,200 denari spent on it

Ok ok, i'll admit, i got lucky on this one because Thrace hasnt move north yet nor they will do it since they're at war with Macedon who offered an alliance with me. I also pushed immediatly at the first sign of agression from Scythia and Gaul...well Gaull is always easy to conquer.

Im gonna continue this campaign. Rome will probably move north since the indie gauls are getting weaker.

It grew a bit on the edges. I've finished off Scythia and gained control of Hispania and took Britain. More to the center i took the iniciative and declared war on Thrace, since Macedon has done much besides taking Seutopolis. On the far east, Parthia attacked one my generals near a bridge, so im thinking of sending a medium size force to try and take some of their northern settlements.

I'll need to make a quick campaign agaisnt Thrace, you never know when Rome might head north agaisnt their allies the Indie Greeks. A complete conquest of Thrace also brings another risk, a conflict with Macedon. Althought they're currently my allies, you can never know. They havent move into Asia minor either, i supose thats due to their alliance with Pontus, but when Thrace is gone, Macedon will surely make a choice and so far they're only moving north.


Edit: And let the decline commence. After taking Tomi, one could guess Macedon's next move, since they moved some medium size stacks near Olbia. Open war with Macedon. I'd consider my effort to damage Parthia a failure. Even though 2 of their settlements i fear that sooner or later they'll come with enough manpower to throw me out.

Pontus, before Macedon, also attacked one of my cities on the Crimea region. I manage to squeeze a ceasefire out of Thrace, so i could focus on Macedon. Its gonna be hard, since maceond has for more stacks than i do, weaker ones for sure when it comes to experienced men, but hard the same. I tried to use one of my stacks to flank them and attack ...whats it called - Petra(?), whatever, their capital, but i was repeled.

Recently Macedon took Olbia from me because i had to move my main force into Crimea for retrainment and its now moving to retake Olbia. I figure this city will be the stage of many battles, since, as previously mentioned, Macedon brought several stacks near it. They''re also close to taking another settlement northwest of Olbia(which name i dont recall).

So thats it, its either complete decline or i overcome Macedon. Its really surprising that Macedon didnt use its usual strategy and move into Asia Minor and annoying, specially now.

I just hope Rome doesnt move north aswell, because then....then it will mean the faul of the german empire.

Very nice. Currently I'm working on a Rome campaign, but I have saved my German campaign for later. I dunno, I guess I just prefer the civilized factions more...more unit options, more building options. Are you going to keep playing that one until you own the whole map?

Nah, i've placed on hold. During my German adventure through the Scythian territory, i noticed that the original Bosporan cities' were changed, so i started a Bosporan provincial campaign to see how that turned out.

ive decided to go with Colonia Decius and have already secured that along with Side, im concentrating on taking out the ptolemies and the indi greeks first
when i reach 270 bc i will move my capital to Colonia Decius and allow my cities in italy to rebel (assuming i have any cities left)

i will have another update tomorrow night and it should be a good one, i have control of Pergamum, Cyzicus, Ipsus and im laying siege to Ancyra (Sesamus has fallen to the Macedonians), im also swimming in money with just under 180,000 denari and i plan on using this to train a new legion to join my first.
on a sad note, Decius Mus has recently died but his dream of a Decian Empire (probably could do with a new name as this one is to close to Dacian)) will certainly come to fruition
Halicarnassus can now retrain all my units and Pergamum can build onagars so cities will fall much quicker now
