Default Download Version vs CD expansion

Im a big fan of the series...

I played out Medieval 2 and decided to get the expansion, but there is a problem. I bought my legal copy of Medieval 2 online, via Gamestop. It is a download version.

Today I bought the expansion, Kingdoms, on CD from a local game store. however, I cannot get it to install, due to the following error: Medieval 2 must be installed.

So, anyone have some advice? How do I get Kingdoms to point to my Medieval 2?

You have to download the Kingdoms version of the game since you downloaded the regular version. Sorry.

The gamestop version is only compatible with the gamestop version of Kingdoms.

If you ever get the chance, switch over to Cd version, but heres the scoop.

The DL verison is only compatible with the Dl version exspnsion.

    Dl+Cd = no exspansion
    CD+DL = no exspansion
    CD+CD = good game
    DL+DL = game...
