    Default Map

Hey it's me again. After my attempt to downlaod RS failed miserably, I've decided to at least learn more about the game until my dad let's me try it again. So, could anyone provide a map showing the starting locations of all the factions? I have't been able to find one.

Well, since Britiania got taken out (I think), the Celtic tribes should get it. Why is numidia written differently? And is that a faction in northern Italy? What about Massilia? and I thought Sicily had 6 cities...

BTW Thanks for the map. This is for RS 1.5, right?

That's the old map used a long time ago in RS.

Which makes me wonder... Will we be seeing a large map like this in 2.0? Not the same but larger than what's in 1.5a?

Man Seluecid looks beast right from the start on that map. I loved Seluecid in Vanilla, except that the AI seems to make them commit suicide everytime...

What is that map above me?

the legion recruitment map, the actual map is still a fair bit bigger than that, that one only shows the areas of roman legion barracks

    Oh...but Rome doesn't have one?

No, generals weren't allowed to cross Latium or parts of it, and certainly not Rome, with their armies. In Rome there only were urban soldiers (don't remember latin name), vigiles (police/fire department) and praetorians.

you can recruit a couple of legions before the reforms but after that you have to construct the castra praetoria to be able to train the two praetorian legions.

i think we are getting the bigger map for 2.0 but still keeping the sense of scale from 1.5

So that first map is the map of RS 1.5 with all the starting positions? And does Greece start out with Massilia?

We are expanding the map slightly to the east, if I recall correctly. You can't have more cities though - there's a limit.

Hey, if you dowload RS and choose to have the lines for each settlement show up, can you change that in options or something like that? And could you also do this to the type of recruitment?

When you install it, you have the option to choose visible/non-visible; afterwards, you can change it manually by going to the data\_IMPORTANT_STUFF folder and copy the descr_sm_factions.txt file in the Region_borders_visible folder into the main data folder.

You also choose 1-turn or 0-turn recruitment upon install, but can also be changed manually later.
