IBFD & IJ crash 15 seconds into the game

Is this some known error with a fix for it?

I can start a new campaign, but if i scroll around the map, or press end turn the game will CTD.

I have a clean BI install, patched, then installed the newet version of the mods.

that's odd...you have the same problem with both IBFD 7.03 and IJ? :hmmm:
Try to install NO SCRIPTS located in the options folder

hmmm...:hmmm:do you have some other mods in that installation? even if they are modfoldered sometimes they can cause problems. Also, did you ensure that the DOS batch after the "normal" installation has done everything right?

No other mods in that RTW installation (i have two seperate copies for ibfd and ij) and the batch files did install until they closed form alone.

well I have no other ideas that uninstall-reinstall everything it's one of the most bizzare crash I've ever seen

It seems to occur with the strat files. There is a CA strat option in the options folder. Install that. It should fix the problem.

I got the same problem, altough I haven't try the solution posted by Julianus, as I'm a complete noob regarding archives names, I'll try to do what I can

1st EDIT: nevermind, I read the install instruction about those options and have just installed them hope the problem is solved!


2nd EDIT: Well, actually I could scroll into the strat map, where my problem lied was that, as soon as I scroll down to the western roman african provinces, the CTD instantly appeared. I tried focusing the camera in the Sahara, and other regions, and nothing happened, it only occurs when I stay on that provinces. That happened BEFORE i installed the vanilla strat map, now that I have the vanilla ones, it freezes up in the loading screen not even letting me to play a little

3rd EDIT: In addition, it looks like this problem only appears when playing as the western roman empire because I've played a whole turn as the slav (I chose this faction due their distance to africa) and no CTD has happened so far, even though I used "toggle_fow" and watched all AI troop movements and nothing occured

4th EDIT: nevermind, CTD when looking the strat map at Hispania,
I see there's an upgrade (I'm playing INVASIO BARBARORVM VII), my question is if installing it is going to fix my problem someway? Anyway, thanks in advance.

5th EDIT: I installed that upgrade (and also installed every vanilla option which comes with the IBFD package) and now this message error pops up

File errors like that usually point to an incomplete install (I think!). Have you tried a complete re-install from a fresh download of the files? That usually solves that problem.
