Some questions on Turks

Hi,

I've been playing the Turks for a week now and I was wandering about some issues with my name. I should point out that I play SS 5.1 mod or version of M2TW. Any help is welcome. Here are the questions:

1. Because in late era you start with seljuks, I was wandering when do the Ottomans appear?
2. The Janissaries heavy infantry, do they look like authentic janissaries with tall conical hats?
3. What would be the best way to get some cash fast?
4. Expansion, against the Byzantines or Fatimids?
5. Can you intermarry with Christian states?

No they're always called the seljuks, and btw are you playing a mod?

2. The Janissaries heavy infantry, do they look like authentic janissaries with tall conical hats?

No, i dont think the Fez hats were used until later in the millennia

3. What would be the best way to get some cash fast?

get trade routes, and build things that increase the cpapcity of trade

4. Expansion, against the Byzantines or Fatimids?

I usually go for the Byzantines, cause the Balkans has serious trading potential

5. Can you intermarry with Christian states?

yes, I think you can.

Not at all, thats the bad thing about SS.
CA had their reasons why they called them "the Turks",because its both usable for seljuks and ottomans.
2. The Janissaries heavy infantry, do they look like authentic janissaries with tall conical hats?
Janissaries wore different headgear, but they resemble them atleast a bit.
3. What would be the best way to get some cash fast?
Levantine coast.Baghdad.Secure north caucasus line.
4. Expansion, against the Byzantines or Fatimids?
Both, but first secure Levantine coast, it has mega trade potential.
5. Can you intermarry with Christian states?
i dont know.

Thanks for all the help so far, and yes I play SS 5.1 mod. I cant believe that they didnt include the Ottomans

Anyway, I appreciate the help. Thanks to The Warmonger and ZorboZ.
One more question, does anyone have a picture of Janissaries the way they look like in SS 5.1??

Any help is appreciated.
