    Default Wales.

So these threads have popped up over almost every other mod for kingdoms so I thought ill post one here.

Most people here are opposed to the Irish faction becuase historically it was not a united faction and alot of civil liberties have been taken to make them into one.

But then I got to thinking, Wales was.

So If one was to add some of Ireland's units to Wales to make it "Whole" would you guys rather have a Welsh faction than an Irish one?

Reason for Ireland, has nothing to do with history but the gameplay, it was decided that adding Ireland would make the British isles more exiting.
I would rather have Ireland than wales...3 factions in one Island is a little too much.

Wait wait wait, Empire: TW will have 50 faction slots? Dear god! They had better also raise the ridiculous 500 unit limit too!

I think they said that it would be raised to 1000+ but don't hold me to that as I can't find the link in the official FAQ

EDIT: and so far their will be 10 playable factions and 40 non playable s, the actual limit might be even higher than that.

EDIT2: be sure to vote guys! and post and tell of your reasons.

With all due respect, these polls lead to nowhere.

You can't seriously pop up the question of Wales being a faction in SS. Wales was a unimportant, weak state at that time, besides it can be only utilized in the early era campaign.

There are dozens of similar mini-states like Wales, f.e. the Kingdom of Navarre, Kingdom of Cyprus etc., and you can't really decide which one to choose, unless you are biased to one of them.

The best way to represent factions like this would be to beef up rebel garrisons.

By a lot. That way, English or Scottish or Irish troops don't simply steamroll over a Wales that usually wouldn't be so easy to conquer.

The same applies for all 'minor' factions that can't be included due to faction limits. BC did this right, and I treated rebel regions with massive garrisons as natural mini-factions in their own right, especially if given well experienced local forces.

There's already a thread open to discuss the inclusion of factions.
