And a lot of times the married women are the coolest to hang out with because they know how to handle a guy. It's horrible when you meet a chick who is awesome and then you figure out that she's married.

Spent a day and a half in and around Chicago, helping my grandmother do things. I like Chi-town.
"Circumstance does not make the man. Circumstance reveals man to himself."
—Emerson
It is hard for me to describe my thoughts on this matter, please bear with me. Basically: Is it odd that all my life, I have seen quotes like the one above, and interpreted them to their most Shakespearean and tragic conclusions, and wanted it? All my life, I have sought purpose. Even if it is through pain and death. Nothing seems worse to me than a calm, quiet, dull life.
Oh boy..when I first read that I actually thought it said "Circumcision does not make the man. Circumcision reveals man to himself."
Then I realised my mistake. Oh how I laughed...
Anyway, I guess it depends on what you would want as your purpose. For me it's to have a family, enjoy a happy and hopefully peaceful life, earning enough to live comfortably and to put my kid(s) through college if they so choose that route. You need to figure yours out I suppose.

Well, I'm quite happy living in the UK, which means that I've missed the universal "cut" that some countries seem to inflict on their boys -ouch!
No mutilation here, in yo faces!
Finally getting around to calling work and getting hours. Retail jobs for. the. lose. On the plus side, money is good. I can finally take care of getting a passport!
Can I get props for longest thread title in the history of TWC?

—Sir William Francis Butler
I think the Super Popse actually has that award...at least, I believe it was him, ages and ages ago...
Psh, I've made longer.
I think therussian has as well.
Today I went to take a mathematics test required for college entrance. Thankfully, it went well, the councilor only had to look at my grades, and thats all it took for me to be eligible for the trigonometry course. I've already passed the English test, where I was eligible for English 101.
I live in California, any advice for which universities to transfer to? The college I'm going to I won't stay permanently. I'm thinking about USC, UCLA, or UC Berkeley (is that the right one?). I'm definately going to major in history, classics, geography, Latin, Greek, and maybe political science, among other subjects.

yes they would have very high standards. they are world renowned after all. to be honest you'll find that with the exception of harvard/cambridge all universities are very similar in respect to their courses, as long as you go to a university people have heard of you'll do fine.

I've actually been invited to study at Cambridge this summer, no joke. I really did get such invitation. I'll pass that up though, as it will be terribly expensive, both to go there, and to fly there, and back. I want to visit Britain someday though, as well as Ireland.cambridge
P.S. I'm not in college yet, just a high school senior.
it would totally be worth it.I've actually been invited to study at Cambridge this summer, no joke. I really did get such invitation. I'll pass that up though, as it will be terribly expensive, both to go there, and to fly there, and back.
