    Default BC 1.5 Suggestions Thread

    Please post any suggestions and changes you wish to see in BC 1.1.

    Remember BC 1.1 is just a big patch so now new content like new Factions, Campaigns or Units and the like. Though roster and strat map adjustments may be considered.

    Also if you've posted game balance issues related to campaign, battle or traits/ancs before please repost them here and remind us of anything important we might have forgotten but would be best addressed by patch 1.1.

    So if you have any recommendations for 1.1 please post away!

    Recommendations and Suggestions:
    - More readily recruitable generals inside homeland-AOR (Kepper, Bdotward)
    - Dynastic Traits/Markers (Karo)
    - Tone down BG strength (Aethelred)
    - Trader, Corruption and Chivalry Traits need to be addressed and it's triggers fixed (Faris Ad Din)
    - Corruption threshold and ratios need to be looked at (Faris Ad Din)
    - Distance to Capital and Squalor penalties need to be re-checked (Faris Ad Din)
    - Slight reduction of Devastation perhaps (Faris Ad Din)

    Fixes and Changes to BC 1.1 so far:

    - UI Card Fixes
    - Text Descr (unit and building) fixes
    - Totally re-scripted EDU and unit stats
    - Revised and rebalanced faction rep rates
    - Auxillia system for out-of-AOR regions
    - Re-scripted costs for all unit and higher recruitment costs
    - Rebalanced growth rates and income from settlements
    - Reduction of Hording
    - "Early Access" for Barracks/Range/Stables to allow access to more units earlier
    - Battle map UI faction symbols fixed
    - Fixed Pre-battle music for east christian factions
    - Rebalanced settlement start levels and pop
    - Army cohesion and formations fixed
    - Rebelanced and reconfigured merc rates and costs
    - More dynamic and less overwhelming AI cash script (reduces stackage)
    - Some camp map aesthetics
    - Ships, Priests and Merchants for Makuria, Kyps and Rajputs
    - Home-AOR readjustment for all factions
    - Earlier access to Priests and more heresy to fight
    - Slightly reduced intrinsic movement rates for captains and generals (spies, merchants and diplomats unaffected)

    .... will add more.

    That's beyond the scope of 1.1. Edited the first post's second sentence to rule that out too.

    adding noble families ass trait to the charcters, that would be cool. so you can have a real dinasty.

    Made possible to recruit general, more early in the game.
    In those days most of army are lead by Noble and not by family member.

    About recruitable generals, you should only make it in certain provinces of importance to sorta represent where most of the nobility is located within the empire or something like that.

    but seriously...I guess making generals recruitable in only certain provinces would make those provinces more important to conquer :hmmm:

    Yeah I think so. Perhaps tie it to simply that factions "native" lands?

    That would make sense. Being only to recruit generals in "homelands" like nobles being sent on excursions with their fighting force to bring more lands into the empire.

    I'm trying to think of other things for the patch, most of my ideas would be in regards to 2.0, I'll think some more "patch-worthy" recommendations for you guys.

    Pls reduce the armour of the heavy cavalry, which is too powerful in the close combat, especially the BG. I think the merit of heavy cavalry is its powerful charge but not good at close combat. And the missile units should get buffed, in current version, archers and horse archers inflict little damage on the units with high armour and that's why some factions such as Turks perform so badly.

    If possible add more region under the control of the Indian faction, most of west faction star it at least three region, Armenia as three starting region also Georgia but if you go east, the Ghodira have just two region, but two big army remove one and give one region, like Pindi.
    If possibel give Kolonchee to the Sindhi, also the Rajupt also need some more region, in the star.

    I agree, definitely for the northern Rajputs.

    could you speed up the end turn process? after 30-40 turns or so
    it takes about 10-15 secs to get to the next turn....

    I'm afraid that's un-preventable. It's just something that comes with having scripts and lots of factions on a map. The more bigger and busier factions get as the game progresses the slower turns will be.
