war of words, or russia preparing to deal to georgia before they get a chance to join nato?

Seems to me that in this situation Russia is in the right. But then again I'm not an expert on Georgia/Abkhazia.

Now everybody understands, why Georgia wants to join the NATO. There must be something terribly wrong with Russia as they love to attack minuscule countries like Chechnya, Georga, Estonia...

Russia is just trying to get their 3rd world empire back. Let em have it, it was cute at the time.
Sure I've been called a xenophobe, but the truth is Im not. I honestly feel that America is the best country and all other countries aren't as good. That used to be called patriotism.

I dont see the normal roation of peacekeepers as escalation of the conflict. if anyone, it is Georgian govt who is causing mass hysteria lately.

well, the overwhelming majority of the population of these "breakaway" regions are Russian citizens. thats how. they carry Russian passports. and god forbid a hair will fall off a Russian citizen's head or a peacekeeper... but of course how dare do those Russians protect their citizens and friendly nations!

How can the majority of the population of a foreign country be Russian citizens. Only answer can be that they were granted citizenship en masse as a political move

This is precisely what happened. It started in 2000 and by 2006 80% of the population had been granted Russian citizenship.

The UN has called on all members to respect Georgian territorial integrity. Russia aggrovates the situation and stagnates what should be happening, developing true autonomy for the region. Instead Russia slowly annexes it, supporting the ethnic cleansing that the local authorities pursue against the remaining ethnic Georgians.

or may be because the Abkhazians and Ossetians are so ing sicken tired of their Georgian psychotic neighbors (who already attempted once to drown them in blood), that they seek protection from their other neighbors?

PS: evil Abkhazians! guilty as charged! how dare do they apply for citizenships of another country that actually feeds and protects them! what an outrageous behavior! lets kill them all before the rest of the 20% of population will do the same, driven by sure prospects of yet another Georgian military invasion.
you havent learned from the Balkans, havent you?

How is that russia's concern. You cannot give citizenship to nationals of a foreign country who are living permanently living in anothr country. Russia is deliberatly stirring things up but as we have all learnt from your exalted position of wisdom, Russia can do no wrong

how is a potential war in the region (that is next to our borders and that involves Russian citizens) a concern of ours? please.

you neither know the Russian immigration laws, nor do you have any idea that Abkhazia was part of USSR and is a de-facto an independent country since its collapse.

excuse me? how is Russia stirring things up? by bringing more peace keepers in response to Georgian army formation at the borders? who stirs what up?
nobody cares, as a matter of fact, besides the Georgian dictator who runs around to EU/NATO/USA and other of his bosses like a chicken with his head cut off. nobody take him serious anymore.

I normally don't like to go to the "Nazi option", as it usually shows a lack of understanding or a failure to comprehend a concept. However ...

It seems to me that one of the reasons for Nazi Germany's moves into Austria, the Rhineland, the Sudetenland, Danzig, Memel, and so on, was to "protect" Germans who were being oppressed in those areas.

Of course, it's somewhat different with Russia. Russians are in other countries because Russia once ruled those countries, and encouraged immigration to them, as a means of solidifying their rule. Why don't the Russians go back to the Russian motherland?

They're Russian citizens solely because Russia has granted them citizenship in very recent years, to further destabilise and weaken Georgia's position. In order to give the propaganda you just repeated some retroactive credit. You think we wouldn't know that, Czar?
