Default SS cine-ed videos (update 07 May 2008 post #22)

    Greetings,

First off, let me thank King Kong for yet another outstanding mod. Keep up the great work. I think it will really pay off if game design is in your future.

If there is already a thread with vids on it, then I'll apologize now and wait to see where this winds up. I started on a few videos for SS, so I thought I'd open up a thread about it. I know there is a thread for this in the vanilla part of the forum, but this is SS and I think it deserves its own here at home. I guess I now have to figure out how to do it with SS6.0.

Anyhow, here they are. They are a bit rough, but there are my first and second I've ever made, and I am still getting the hang of cin-ed.

Please feel free to post your own. I hope there are enjoyed and I hope to have more soon.

    Edit: Update 07 May 2008
I wish that there was a better way at updating this. Should I continue to post videos here at the beginning, or should I update at the end of the thread? Any suggestions would be quite helpful.
The new one is at the bottom of this post. I will tell you that it is not that great, but it is so hard to scrap something that takes so much time producing. I posted last week that I planned on having another video completed, but as I stated earlier, it surely eats up much time.
I just answered my question. I cannot update at the beginning becuase it stays as an edit to the post and not a new entry. The last post contains the new video.

    Well, enjoy!

In this, I attempted to recreate the Battle of Stirling

Wow those vids are pretty cool.

Did you do that with the normal game camera?

    Very good video!

But hearing the ingamesound would be awesome! Try to capture with FRAPS and seperate the sound from the video!

Yeah, that's the next step. I would like to have the battle sounds in the background. Thanks.

    Thanks for the kind words.

    s0meguy:
It is the cin-ed camera. It is the same camera that you can take upclose and personal screenshots.

    Col Poutting:
Ah yes, that song is one of my all time favorites. It is called Fantasia On A Theme by Thomas Tallis. You can find most easily on the soundtrack for Master and Commander.

Thanks again and I'll be working on more soon.

    Coolness!

    Do more!

And I would recommend using a site like Vimeo.com for much higher quality upload-conversion to flash video, but I don't think they can be embedded in this forum (only google video and youtube :/)

Hey, thanks a lot everyone. I am glad you enjoyed them. I am working on another one right now and I hope to have it up by this evening (my time, that is). I would like to make a little 5 min trailer that would use the entire song from the second video. I am using SS6.0 for this next one. Thanks again!
