3000 Chinese and White Americans protest against CNN at San Francisco.

Just when I thought there wouldn't be a protest as big as the one in LA. This time, 3000 Chinese and Caucasians did a "friendly" protest against the constant nonsense CNN has been stirring up about China. Friendly as in no killing and vandalizing but certainly some anger. It would seem that the Chinese are finally unifying. There were even recent protests in Europe and Canada as well. So far I only see one website that even mentioned this protest. There are youtube videos attached to the article as well. I guess the westerners didn't want to release this embarassing news to the world. But, instead of posting the article, I'll just post the youtube video.

Not in this video, but I did see pictures of them in the Chinese newspaper I read. They were even mentioned in the article itself.

So I can make a conclusion here. Either most westerners are ignorant, or the media is unfair and biased toward China.

Ain't freedom to say your opinion about an issue whether you may or may not be "knowledable" a pain in the butt? For your informationn, I do know many people from China who are students/immigrants here in Canada. This may surprise you but not all Han Chinese are one homogenious bloc of consenting opinion . We freely discuss the advantages and disadvantages of living here in the west and China. And they have many negative things to say about living back home just as they have negative things to say about living in the west. So actually, it is you who should not be criticizing our ability to comment on this issue since you know nothing about where we have lived or the summed experiances that have shaped our opinions up until this point in our existance.

The point is the media, or the people are very biased in the west that they do not tolerate our oponians. There are many examples in this forum that whenever me , bushbush, King Baldwin try to clarify the Chinese policies and explaining the democratic progress in China, people in this forum usually reacted with ignorance, usually label us "nationalist", "propagandist", "brainwashed". Sure China has a long way to go on the rights of citizens, and most average Chinese people...like bushbush, me and King Baldwin, acknowledges the positive changes in the past 30 years. We live in a better standard of life, more freedom and more awareness to protect ourselves from law.
But most westerners still criticize China as the brutal regime back in the 70's. And do not realize the current Chinese leaderships were made up mostly those who were being prosecuted back in Cultural Revolution. While they criticize without any acknowledging the development in China, the criticize based on biased media, they criticize because they were taught by some dirty media and politicians like Pelosi to hate China.
So whenever we defend the Chinese policy and Chinese government, we're labeled as "propagandist", "nationalist", "brainwashed". For me, those people were truely brainwashed, or just ignorant.

Right, and the camera guy for the Free Tibet protests in New York was a white guy who wants to liberate his country?

There are only a scarce number of white people even in this video and I doubt you could prove that these white protesters are there for the reason you listed.

I think it's more likely they are doing it because they want to feel cool and trendy. I mean, for God's sake, it's San Francisco. Land of the Hippies.
