Ok guys, im playing as T.O, im on turn 18. I've taken Hyronda from Lithuania (it rebelled, so i snagged it) There was a crusade on baghdad, so i gathered a

of cheap troops and took Vilnius. Now, Im allied with Denmark and Novgorod, They have just went to war! Should i hold my alliance with Denmark or Novgorod, because Novgorod is my border but Denmark is catholic and can own me sea wise.. What to do?!

are you insane? Lithuania is pretty strong, i get owned cause i have low income + im always bad at gaining money = Bad military because i can not refill my ranks

How do you convert though, i'd convert to pagan, i always liked pagans but i cant stand lithuania or cumans.

I encountered almost the same problem, check out my third post on this page:

I think that for the German Order it is inevitable to attack both Lithuania and Novgorod, as both Poland and Danes are way too strong early in the game compared to you.

I did a variation of my campaign, where I attacked the Pollies, but they owned me via the mass amount of horse archers (which also do good harm in melee combats). Danes are strong too, can carry many stacks through the sea, and a naval warfare isn't yet an option for you as well.

On ther other hand, attacking the russian scum is good for several reasons:
- you don't have to be in war with a catholic faction
- you can convert many infidels, rejoicing the pope, and increasing the chances of having more cardinals
- large territories, thus including more field battles where you can dominate with your superior units
- appr. every second russian city is a fortress, which you can make good use of.

I have to agree with the Novogrod first strategy. I actually took the city from the Danes early, then had them sign a ceasefire. Somewhere along the line Novogrod attacked me, but that turned out for the best. I've always attacked Lithuania first, but Novogrod got me some good income cities quickly and Lithuania was too busy with Poland/Hungary to bother me. Usually I go after Lithuania, have money problems, then Novogrod attacks anyway.

can we have a picture of your current game?

Also since you've been playing them for awhile now do you feel they are underpowered? For example Dismounted & Mounted Ritterbruder. Also the archers seem to be kinda crappy and Im a huge archer fan and thats one thing that is almost stopping me from playing as them no AP arrows and their range is lacking.

not the best archers, but they have a special ability, sharpening the edge of the arrows, or something like that

Love this faction. Great skins and units.
I took Thorn as quickly as possible. Instant Fortess ~~, just add water~~! (No I'd better not, only screws up my pc

) Then made peace with the Polish as soon as possible and converted Konigsberg into a city to boost my economy. Kinda blitzed Lithuania in 15 turns afterwards, with a little help from a crusade on Mensk.
Now I'm allied with HRE and together whe are waging war with the Danes for the rich Hanse cities in the Baltic. Doing great so far!

Ok well im going to stick with novgorod, denmark usually gets pwned by norway in my campaigns plus novgorod is insane trade. and i want denmark off my part of the land. Thanks for the insanely stupid and very helpful tips.
