    Not only is 400 x 400 not realistic, it aint awsome either. When you can look over the battlefield and see ten thousand men grappling with each other, the scenes are often breathtaking and remind you that there is nothing else like this game engine anywhere.

    I think I have a pretty good handle on how the files works and can do some pretty good modding ....But I am ashamed to admit it, although I have seen referrences to "EDUs" I don't know what EDU means. On this point, I wonder if twc has a glossary for modders?

    I noticed that CRC32 is a field in each file. I recall that this is used as a checksum in certain spreadsheet apps which I believe is use in conjunction with data filling in some data transfer programs. Yes? No? Help.

    Ok, I don't get it....which EDU am I supposed to use?
    And just to confirm...by Basileia Ton Romaioi you mean the CBUR right?

    Ok, OK, I think I have it:

    EDU

    E= export
    D=descr
    U=unit

    So it's a way of making one minute mod to the file at a time while also leaving individual changes modular so, they can be added, removed, or modified individually.

    Now if this is not correct, please let me know.

    OK I figured the filenames:
    The OTZ, RR10 , TC RAJ in the middle of EDU_61_XXXXXXX_BIGBATTLES.zip

    are for individual submods.

    Ok that part of the mystery is clear. ( I hope correct also )

    Now, my final unanswered question is: if I don't have any of the sub mods, which file set to I install?
    and,
    If I have just Crimson Tide 4 submod which do I install?
    Anyone out there?

    Dude...the vanilla one I guess you're using SS6.1 right? Then take the file called EDU_61_Xxxx

    In the 1st post it's explained how the files are created, inside every "subzip" there's only 1 export_descr_unit.txt file that must replace yours (SS-->data). The file you've to take is the one that matches:

    1st - the mods you've installed
    2nd - the desired add-in you want (bigger, bigger+speed, bigger+speed+morale or bigger+morale)

    I hope that now is clear

    Did you ever find the maximum size for a unit to sit on a wall?
    I had set my bowmen @ 72X = 180...but I can't get them all on a medium size wall.
    ( In a way that is not a bad thing because knights cannot seem to charge - or even attack - units who are half off a wall. But that seems somewhat 'unfairer' I guess.
    Did you find that 60X = 150 bowmen fit that criterion or, use 60 for other reasons?
    BTW I am going to keep all my HEAVY_PIKE_MILITIA @ 96X 240 as I like the way they fit with gun/muskets (as you can tell from my signature) .

    Yep the huge numbers are great on open battles but in some cases are crappy in the walls...

    150 is not a number that "fits" in the walls but a way of not making them so powerful (a round of bows can be deathly)

    Nice pic in your sig mate I never thought of combining 2 units in that way

    Hmmm, I don't think I'll be able to make do with the increased unit sizes - my comp is so-so with large as it is.
    If this is indeed compatible with CBUR, can you point out the instructions for using just the morale boost?

    Nope...I mean I cannot give you a hint as it's a multiplier and the program detects every line of the EDU.

    What you can do is to change the values "massively", making replaces on the EDU of the stats_mental line .. there's not a clean option

    Hey I have a question...in this mod have you increased the size of all Unit sizes? or just the ones you've listed? becuz it seems that there is a number of units that you've left out of the list... Like i was just checking to see what you've done with Polish heavy calvalry since its my fave faction to play with, and it seems youve only Increased the size of Polish Nobles.
    I was wondering If you increased the size of the POLISH GUARD or the Polish Husarze from the Stainless Steel 6.1 version. Just putting out the question becuz i really like what youve done, but i've always been a big fan of fighting with my large calvalry armies to run down infantry with strategy...

    And whats your unit size for calvalry?
    Heavy Cav is 90 and Light Cav is 100? how are u doing it?

    Hi!

    All heavy cav is not increased, the same happens with heavy inf. in this mod version I tried to add more "cannon fodder" to the battlefield, but only affecting the low level units.

    So, light cav is 90 (it was 60) and heavy is the same value as it's in huge size.

    In the "hugest" version (if it comes someday) hevy cav+heavy inf will be increased (see 1st post+poll).

    I hope I've clarified your doubts now
