    Ok about your 2 and PS, yep that's normal, the same happens in the opposite way.

    The game keeps all unit sizes in the saved file because it's the only way of knowing the amount of soldiers per unit (think about that after a battle the number must persist) when you reload a saved game.

    So, if you wanna play the "new" amount you've to retrain them and they'll be back to newest numbers, or create new units to know the exact amount (while playing you can see that info in the unit detail)

    BTW, I'm 99% sure that's RC problem, as I also have this value in the standard file I use. IMO you can test the battle using prussian archers and you'll have a CTD.

    Unknown identifier when new type expected.
    21:29:28.921 [data.invalid] [error] DATABASE_TABLE error found : error reading record from file mods/Stainless_Steel_6/data/export_descr_unit.txt.

    Just reinstalled my Total War game with SS 6.1, Total Combat and Real archery and javelins (RAJ) so I downloaded the TC_RAJ rar, extracted it and got this error. Same error with all 3 different versions. Game starts up and then exits after first loading screen.

    I cannot explain if it's not a matter of mismatch between the EDU and the DBmodels, can you post the original EDU so I can check with mine?

    Anyway, the error in line 1 column 1 is very strange!

    Yeah the first line matches with my backup EDU that works just fine.. Very weird.. Well here's my backup EDU, note that I've changed some things, like Pikemen and Pike Militia are added to Englands roster (can't stand playing without pikes), so you might want to change that if you're going to add it in your rar file.

    I looked into the "Capital" biggerbattles rar, and it contains TC and RAJ, this one however did work. There's probably some typo in the TC_RAJ edu.


    Ok I got another question, the Heavy_Pike_Militia "Soldier" in EDU's pike units have been changed to HEAVY_PIKE_MILITIA, if you change it back to the original Heavy_Pike_Militia the game wont start. How do I make it so that it can be Heavy_Pike_Militia, otherwise it seems I can't add pike units to different factions for some reason.

    Actually, every Soldier has been capitalized.. Why's this?

    It also seems that it only applies for Custom Battles for me, in campaign all troops are normal.

    Ok, soldiers are capitalized because of my changes, but it never affected my gameplay until now. What's true is that if "SOLDIERS" is capitalized the game doesn't start...but that's solved by now. In my opinion, EDU is very unstable, so it's very sensitive to manual changes...I encourage you to be very careful because an extra TAB or space can avoid starting the game.

    Secondly, the file you sent me is quite different from the one I used to start, where did you get it? I'd like to have as many different "official" EDUs compatible with the mod. That's weird because the initial header of RAJ is the same as yours (!)

    Well, if there's not any other solution I can patch it for you

    I haven't changed my EDU anything but adding pikemen and pike_militia to england, everything else is normal. My mods are as I mentioned before SS 6.1, TC and RAJ and that visual pack thing, shouldn't affect EDU though. No RR or anything like that.. I have no idea why I can't add the pikemen and pike militia though, since your mod only affects EDU and all you have to change there is the ownership of the unit.

    Well this is ing odd, now it suddenly works in campaign.

    Yep..the weirdest thing is that the file you need is capital's but I never knew what kind of version is this (as the header is the same)...

    Man!
    baghlah is a ship, and kwarez is a new faction available from SS 6.1 (VERY WEIRD that you've problems in the ships!)
    what file are you using? can you post your original EDU?

    Mmm that's the standard MTW2 EDU file.( that explains that you've problems with KWAREZM)

    You've to replace the file located in MT2/mods/SS61/data/export_descr_unit.txt by the one you've downloaded from my mod (make a backup first!). If it doesn't work, send me the original file (but the one located in the previous folder)

    That's my SS 6.1 EDU (MT2-SS/Stainless_Steel/data/export_descr_unit.txt) even size is different (525 my - 587 your)

    I forgot to mention that's mandatory to have RR for the vanilla's 6.1, and I think you don't have it. Anyway that shouldn't be the reason of the problems you've...what submods are you using?

    When you installed 6.1 did you choose Real Recruitment option? I'm afraid that I didn't make this compatible for vanilla's 6.1 without RR...

    pff I had installed RR on my SS for your mod, but now i have problem with RR i'ill reinstall my SS

    The last RR is not compatible yet, I meant the RR (1.0) that's included in the SS6.1 as an optional install.

    All submodders are waiting for an stable version of the RR to upgrade their mods, that's why I'm stopped on trying to upgrade it. As soon as the RR spreads so this mod will do.
