Default Top 3 games for their storylines?

    Eh?

If you don't mind, exclude the Final Fantasy series from your list because we all know how great their story is. Mine are:

    1.) Dreamfall: The Longest Journey
2.) Knights of the Old Republic
    3.) Kingdom Hearts 2

I thought the fight at the end of KH2 was absolutely awesome and epic.

    Neverwinter Night series.
Warhammer 40K: Dawn of War (only Dawn of War).
The Witcher (okok, I admit I like the part about sex).

    Others:

Heros of Might and Magic V series have some nice story too; of course, it is suitable only for male players (since all female characters in the game are either evil or dumb).

    Half-Life is ok...

    FEAR is quite ok too...

Diable series is quite ok too.

Me too. After finishing the singleplayer campaign, I watched the news, and for a few seconds I expected to see a report on the situation in Seattle. That was scary and funny at the same time. Mostly scary.

    Storyline of DoW:

    1) Chaos is found. Or maybe Orks. Or maybe both.
    2) SPESS MEHREENS are sent to the planet.
    3) IG can't take care of XYZ threat, SPESS MEHREENS must destroy XYZ threat instead.
    4) Eldar help behind scenes.
    5) Imperium doesn't trust Eldar, screw up all their plans, release XYZ demon or let Orks get away, or whatever.
    6) Imperium blames Eldar for failure. Eldar slaps forehead in frustration.
    7) Cue next game.

    DoW storyline:

    1. An Ork Waaagh for unknown reason (although reason is not a logic thing in WH40K Universe), Imperial Guard tries to evacuate the civilians.

    2. Space Marine suddenly appears from no where and help the evacuation.

    3. A series fighting between Ork and Imperial force betwee; the goal of Imperial force is to evacuate suburban civilians and hold the line until everyone leave the planet.

    4. During the fighting, some evidences point that Chaos force may involve in the Ork Waaagh.

    5. Find the evidences to prove Space Marines' fear - and an simple Ork Waaagh turns to emotional "brothers kill brothers".

    6. After more fighting and all civilians evacuate, Space Marine decides to stay on the planet until Chaos all die.

    7. Space Marine figure out what Chaos want - to summon a demon sleep under the city. Space Marine try to defeat Chaos before their plan is successed, under the pressure of Ork Waaagh.

    8. In the end, Space Marine defeat the Chaos with Eldar, but still release the demon despite Eldar's oppose.

    9. The story continues in DoW II...
