    Question: is the AOR system fully operational? During my last game I invaded the lands of Egypt by sea (I'm Abassids, my empire stretches till Northern Syria), I capture their cities and I can recruit... nothing.

    So is this because the system isn't fully functional?

    It's operational but flawed currently in that you cannot access any sort of troops beyond levies in foreign territory. 1.1 will introduce auxiliaries that are recruitable.
