    Default The Idle General Problem

I still see AI generals alone or with a few units standing in the same place turn after turn, usually until they die. Anyway to fix that?

    assasinate them?

It seems with vanilla the AI tended to forget about armies, and this is still a problem in SS as well. Is it fixable? i do not know.

The Fatimid had a full stack near my castle of Gaza... They didn't attack for about 3 turns, and the army turned rebel

I see single generals standing alone in enemy territory all the time. It's fun picking them off, but seems so retarded on the computer's part.

Its just one of those things that the AI does wrong that a human opponent never does. That's why they get money scripts, etc. on the higher difficulties. They get unfair advantages to make up for errors like this.

Are you sure that the AI general does not have low loyalty, and has the "You are not my King" trait? If one of my generals has low loyalty, I will put him out by himself so that if he goes rebel, he doesn't take alot of troops with him. Perhaps the AI is doing the same.

I don't think the AI does this intentionally. It has happened since Vanilla. I just hate to see the AI squander resources like that. It also breaks the feel of the game, as I realize I'm not playing a cunning, ruthless enemy but an idiot.
