Default Yet another insightful qeustion...RE. Governators

Is there a way to give over that governing trait of one family member to another if he's better at ruling a city?
my faction leader is the governor of like 3 cities right now

Do you mean a trait or an ancillary?

If it's an ancillary (the ones on the left with the little pictures) then yes you can transfer them. Just stick the family member that you want to transfer them to in the same stack as the family member with the ancillary. Open their character screen and you should be able to see both family members in the army pane at the bottom. Just click and drag the ancillary you want to transfer to the other family member's portrait in the army pane.

Faction heirs are chosen by the game unfortunatly.

I'll let the cat out of the bag. It tends to piss nobles off when you strip their titles.

When I was playing english I always tried to have my king in the capital and build education buildings there.

King usually gets all sorts of offices he can distribute to young generals and family members - improves their loyalty etc. and the youngsters get a better education. Once the education is complete ship them out to be govenors if they are administratively minded - otherwise find a war for them to go fight.
