Default Tips for improving dread or chivalry.

I myself am finding this quite tricky in Stainless Steel.

I had one good family member with a decent amount of command and a single point of dread, so I decided to turn him into a good ol' bloodthirsty general.

Yet even though in every battle I continue to chase down routers, kill all the prisoners, exterminate populations, every single time, he has somehow managed to actually get one point in chivalry through traits that have popped up.

It seems that it's very slow to move the bar one way or another, so does anyone have some tips?

it is easier to get battlechivalry if you already have battlechivalry trait like fair fighter. But, if you continue doing those actions, your dread will greatly increase as the time passes.

My king's dred grew up from one chivalry point to all the dread skulls. Just for five battles and six settlements with populations saked (3) and exterminated (the 3 lasting). But my prince had a half of the skulls, he was "Ramon Berenguer the Wraithful, and he managed to end with one chivalry point, and I don't know the reason. He never left a prisoner alive.

And, as an advice, it is better to left prisoners alive if they are few, because reputation gets worse if you kill your prisoners. And, besides, to have a king called "the Chivalrous" or "the Champion" is alwais great.

The following is a good guide to Chivalry and Dread. Some specifics may be a little different with SS's new trait system, but the overall ideas are sound.

To obtain a necessary amount of dread, being that of the maximum, one must become Istvan in every way. He is the sun, the moon, and all the stars. He is the dread father and the grandfather of violence. He invented murder, rape, thievery, and Republicans. Look to him for all of you dread needs, for he knows that you will come to him eventually, for he is all knowing and all being.
