    Default Some questions of SS

1, I notice the archers and mounted archers are too powerless, what's their status in SS?

2, I seldom launch successful charges in SS, each time i do hear the horn for charge, but it stops before my heavy cavalry engage the enemy.

3,Can somebody explain to me the education system?

    1. Well some people think they are too powerful, so I am guessing that means they are jut right.
2.:hmmm:If get time I will look at that.

1, Too powerful?! When dealing with the dismounted fedual knights, my Trebizond archers can kill no more than 20 before engagement. In fact, missile attack is useless in SS i am afraid. And that's why i asked what is the archers' status in SS.

3, I read the thread u recommend, but still dont undertand completely. As i played DLV before, if i want to train one family member to be a general, i had better put him in the castle? And how long shall i keep him in it, 6 turns?

    Thank you!

Bowmen become less effective as their opponent's armor increases. Try using a crossbow against heavily armored opponents like DFK's.

In regard to education, yes, if you want a general to be more militant, leave him in a castle for at least the first 4 turns of his life. When a family member comes of age, they'll have a trait called 'Freshman' which means they can learn from settlements, the trait goes Freshman->Sophmore->Junior->Senior->Graduate, at which point they can't learn much more without the Scholar trait.

England longbow can match Trebizond or Turk archers using powerful composite bows? I think this is a myth caused by CA.

Head-on charges aren't as successful as flanks or rear but they are still good. My head on heavy cavalry charges usually destroy heavy infantry unless they are spearmen. My flank and rear charges have around a 95% success rate.

Yeah, charge in SS is much more difficult than that in vallina and most MOD.
First, the cavalry begin the charge too close to the enemy.
Second, its speed is very slow, somebody notices this?
