Mod Problem (Specific File)
Hey, I've been having a problem recently with introducing a new file to my personal mod for Medieval II.
I am trying to put the export_descr_units file from the Retrofit mod so I can get all of the unit balances (By the way do I need permission for this? It's only being used privately). This is the only feature I want, so it would be inconvenient to install the whole mod. However, when I put the file into the folder in the appropriate place and start up the mod it crashes near instantly and takes me back to wherever I just was. The method I'm using for the mod is not -io.file_first, I'm using the one that has the batch file to start the game.
The only hunch I have is that the new Kingdoms feature recruit_priority_offset is interfering with my mod, but I have no evidence.
I hope I explained everything clearly, and I appreciate all future help.

Im not entirely sure about this but i suspect that you would need to install the whole mod as past experience has told me that replacing one file only from a mod causes problems. Try using the -show_err command it may help you trace the problem..

Re: Mod Problem (Specific File)
Ah, I just recently used trace, and it said it came across unfamiliar text on line 170. In my export_descr_unit file, this line is the first instance of recruitment_priority_offset, so I think that feature is the problem. I've already tried deleting all instances of that feature, but it didn't work. Is there anything else I can do about this? Is there any other method to obtain the unit balances perhaps?

Re: Mod Problem (Specific File)
not so sure it could as i said be that the file is looking for the whole mod, it is a real pain getting single files to work, as mods would use different names to the original in some instances...what is this unfamilier word it encounterd??

as an after thought try comparing your new file with the original one....It may help you to trace your errors

Well why don't you just adjust the numbers manually?

I suppose if nothing else works, I'll have to do that.
