    Default Damaged File?

I downloaded the beta (.8b) and then after the download I opened the file and then it said that the file is damaged and can't be opened... It also said something about a virus, so I am going to run a scan and then re-download the file. I might need help with the installation or even downloading it.

I will post back here if I need assistance.

There's a common problem with IE of Firefox not downloading the file completely. Before downloading, make sure you shut down any other programs, clear Temporary internet files/cache, cookies and try downloading it again.

Make sure you download all the patches though. If you still have problems, try using a download manager - they usually get it right.

Ok and yes I use Firefox. Should I use Internet Explorer?

    thanks for the help

Edit: I successfully downloaded the game. And its patches. I downloaded the patches to the xgmD file but than an error came up when i started the game. It said

    Generic Error

    Unable to find skeleton 'fs_s1_ekdromoi_swordsman

Are you sure you installed all the patches correctly? Seems like you are missing the animation packs...

Make sure all the installation directories are set to the Rome Total War folder. The installer will automatically put everything under the xgmD mod folder, but if you changed the installation directory of patches, it won't work.

Sorry for having the patches so confusing to handle, but I just lacked the time to patch together a complete installer.
You'll have to wait for the next version for that...

You're right once again.. Great mod

I love it... I don't know who to be though. I don't want to be a Greek faction because i don't feel like fighting with phalanxes and that type of battle style. I might be the Parthians... And what happened to Saba?

Have never had Saba in Diadochi. It's based on XGM 3 (atm it's XGM 5).
I would recommend the Aedui (gauls) - they are a very interesting faction to play with.

I might be them.. But what's different from them and the other Gauls..

Dacia looks really good. Did you make the units ( they look great! )

Aedui has a bigger variety of enemies to encounter, while the Arverni occupy the areas closer to Iberia, so they can expect less action.
