Permanent arrows minimod.

Hi guys,

I have uploaded my file for those that actually do like permanent arrows.
Put the attached file inside the mods/SS6/data folder and backup the old one first, just in case.

thanks for posting this!

however, i tried it out on a quick batle and flaming arrows are permenent but normal arrows still fade.

any suggestions as to how i can get the permenent arrows to incluce the non flaming ones?

alright, i tried it in my campaign also, and the arrows are still fading.

and yet, fire arrows are not. both have a fade time of 3 according to the data folder...

Permanent arrows are not a real strain for your system unless they are flaming arrows. You can try it, and if your pc can't handle it, revert.

Personally I'd like to make the regular arrows permanent and the flaming arrows decay over time.. Could you perhaps point me to the proper sections to copy and what to leave out? Thanks in advance..

They don't decay over time. The arrow caught fire from flame at the tip and burnt to dust.
Anyway, could you please add permanent javalins also! Permanent arrows works very well for me. I also like permanent javelins too.

Actually permanent arrows are a strain for the system, as every arrow is a 3d object..I tested it, and battle got a bit laggy after a large amount of arrows were fired!

So I changed the fade times, to 60 for flaming and 80 seconds for non-flaming arrows! It's effective and yet it doesn't choke the system if large amount of archer units engage in the battle!
