    Default Scotland unit skins

    Question,

I'm used to playing scotland with multi coloured tartans in other mods (namley DLV), however in SS 6.0 all I seem to get is a dull Blue and Green. Even though the unit cards and pictures in the unit details are all pics of units with multicoloured tartans (red, green, and blue).

I miss that splash of colour and I have no desire to go back to DLV right now. Is there any mini-mod anyone recommends to adjust those colors for SS?

i did not think tartans existed in this era. Perhaps plaid multicoloured pattersn like tartan. But not clan colours?
What pisses me off obout the scots is the stupid looking noble pikemen.... knights with pikes...... i don'tthink thats historical at all.

If you want tartan in all its glory, wait until Empire Total War. Gordon's, black watch, 92nd etc....And earlier still all of the tartans for the calns in the 1700s , that will be a sight to behold.

sorry for going a bit off topic, but u seem from your name and post to be a man who may care about the scots and their army being portrayed in a NON-BRAVEHEART way...

Sail your ship as part of a fleet. Devs previously worked on: Darthmod, World of Warplanes, World of Tanks, RaceRoom, IL2-Sturmovik, Metro, STALKER and many other great games..

You are correct, not exactly "tartans" but multi-coulored plaid patterns. However I suppose green and blue (vitrum or woad) would be more accurate to history as bright colored dyes were not readily available at the time.

Couldn't agree with ya more mate, simply an absurd looking unit. The only reason for this I'm sure was to provide scotland with a decent late period unit upgrade.

Agreed. I'm Looking forward to it!

And yes Braveheart was a very hollywood aproach to the Scottish War of Independance. It is what it is, and I found it entertaining once I looked past the number of historical inaccuracies in it.

    Cheers.
