    Default Increased movement minimod

This isn't much of a 'mod,' but it really improves the game imo. I've given all units/agents about 50% more movement (some a bit less, some a bit more) on the campaign map. Ships have been given a lot more. You can adjust it to what you like, default value is 140 for most things and I have it 210 atm. With the bigger map I found the extra movement was really needed. Remember to backup your original file and have fun

place the file in the main SS data folder (default path is C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\data) and you're good to go.

It is save game compatible btw.

    Compatable with 6.0 and 6.1

I modded this myself to similar #'s that you use, and it makes a big difference!

Wouldn't this lead to more sieges instead of field battles?

Possibly, but I haven't really noticed.

Could you please update this for 6.1? After installing the patch my movement decreased again, and I like the increased movement. But I don't know what to adjust.

Ooops I forgot to back up, can someone plz upload original ss6 descr_character file?
I don't like - armys now have too much movement and its becoming siege slug, I will edit agents according to new movements though

I don't have 6.1 installed atm so I'm not sure what it changes. :hmmm: Until I update (I don't want to loose my campaign tbh ) you can manually change it. Go to the descr_character file and change the line(s) that begin with "starting_action_points"

Just control+F search for that line and change the #s after it from 140 (the default for most things) to around 200. On mine I made it 210 for armies, 330 for ships, 270 for diplomats/princesses, and I think 220 for merchants/priests. You can fiddle around with it until you get it to how you want.

If someone could post an updated file for 6.1 before I do (I might not update for another couple days) I'll add it to the first post.

edit: it seems the old file still works

Nothing changes in 6.1. Atleast i see no reason it would have. This is the first thing i change when i install SS. I don't increase as much as you have because of the chance of more siege and less field battles. But i think exspecially with the larger map this is needed.

I have found it myself. I compared your file with the new one and changed the same numbers and everything works fine. I attached it here. But perhaps y2day is right and nothing changed.

edit: removed the file as it was the same as the other one.

The file uploaded for 6.0 is compatible with 6.1 as the patch does not add or remove anything to/from that file.

is there any way to change a regular units movement point, say a armored spearmen. i ask because the general that unit is in is limited to units he has in his army hence increasing his movement points wont matter when he has infantry.
