Has anyone else seen these new t.v. commercials promoting bipartisan solutions to america's climate change and energy crisis? They bring together moonbats like Al Sharpton and wingnuts like Pat Robertson and the result is (i think) hilarious.



There's also one of Nancy Pelosi and Newt Gingrich



So, what do you think? I find them to be good commercials and generally inspiring, I dont wish to view them cynically because I dont remember the last time I've seen bipartisan civility advertised like this in the mainstream.

We did alleviate the Ozone thinning issue for the most part, so i say we are fairly capable.

The problem is getting China and India to go along.

It depends on how much they got paid to do these commercials. But, knowing Sharpton and Robertson, two huge attention whores, they'd probably do it for the free publicity.

It's good to see polar opposites agree on things for once instead of letting politics get in the way on an individual level but will it work in the end when it comes to the political parties and the people as a whole will they stick to their guns just to score political points.

What exactly does their appearing in a tv spot achieve for the planet? How does it help? I see the commerical my first though is oh look twiddle dee twiddle dum. If they want to be helpful how about they do something productive like use all the money they have taken from fools who listen to them and go plant some trees or something. That would impress me Al & Pat's Reforestation Group of course knowing both they would probably just use it as a new racket to place money in their own pocket.

And yeah guess Im far more cynical then you, cant help it. I have nothing but dislike for the two and I see very little in the way actually achieving anything by gimmick tv spots that place Al and Pat, Newt and Nancy together...I mean hell how about some CGI Adolf and Josef!

Show me Al and Pat achieving something and then Ill happily sit and watch them pat each other on the back and make jokes in all the commercials they want. To put it in perspective how valuable would Carter's Habitat for Humanity had been if it didnt actually construct housing and simply ran commercials about how nice it would be if the houses were built? Solutions not gimmicks though Id be interested in a tv commercial for Al and Pat where they both swore to stop spreading their brand of hate and idiocy.

Hmm you know...Ill take that bet and make a bold statement that I bet Ive given more to enviromental organizations then either Sharpton or Pat have in the past year which would mean Ive actually done more than either of them Even if Im wrong I can state that Ive done less harm to the planet and people then someone like Robertson has with his diamond mines. But then this isnt about me its about the commerical.

And nah I just pointless gimmick hata, I much rather see the actual people doing the work, the scientists, organizers, actual workers on tv telling me what they are DOING and achieving as opposed to two hate mongers telling me what *I* should be doing.
