Game doesn't start after Patch 1.2 Installation
Hey guys,
I've recently installed patch 1.2 on a fresh vanilla 1.0 medieval 2 total war. However, when i try to play, my game opens the very first loading screen (immediately after you launch the game not the main menu) and i hear a beep. The game then goes to a black screen and fails to progress. I am quite uncertain of the cause behind this error and any help is appreciated. The following lines are directly copied from the game's log:

Re: Game doesn't start after Patch 1.2 Installation
The beep is your computer telling you it's got a problem. Please post your computer specs.

AMD Sempron 3400+ @ 2GHz
768 MB of RAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7600 GT OC
100 GB hard-drive
That's about it. But the game worked before i installed the 1.2 patch so i don't think hardware is affecting the crash.

If the OC on your video card means overclocked, your card could be overheating and why the beep. Set it back to default and see if the game starts.
