    Default 4Tpy

    Hello

I like longer Campains, so is there any mod with 4tpy for RS 1.5a?

playing 4tpy with RS will result in having characters of 20 years old with the attribute "ready to retire"...i wouldn't suggest it...

Not recommended at all, just like Spartan 666 says....its messes up traits and things too much

Well you'd have to fix all that stuff yourself if you installed a 4tpy mod, because it isn't going to be done in a official release.

In addition, things like the economy, growth rates, etc. are balanced around 2tpy so pretty much everything would need to be rebalanced.

Might as well Re-Due the entire mod. But if you have weeks and weeks to spare you could try.

Well unfortunatly i have not enough time, and knowledge to do this, so i was hoping someone have done such a mod, like some guys who are working on a 2tpy, and 4tpy mod for SS 6.0.

on my 33 region carthage empire one turn takes 30-40 minutes, with most having a 20-25 minute battle in it. thats long enough for me, if you play huge settings in this, the campaign takes forever. (you could autoresolve battles, but you'd pay dearly for it). so imho this mod is just right.

Just to comment on this, 4tpy does not make a campaign longer, in fact, it tends to make campaigns last about 1/2 the number of years on average. You generally do not get more turns, just more turns per year.

EDIT: To clarify each year is longer, but there are fewer years in a campaign.

no i dont think thats right
the point is no one ever plays to the end date, especially as in RS there is a HUGE time span, so with 4tpy you will conquer the world in the same number of turns, all that would be different is the date, meaning that having 4tpy is effectively pointless

4tpy would mean that i would be able to conquer several cities all in just one year .... conquering so much in so less time doesnt sound realistic !!! but thats just my opinion !!!

I would rather die on my feet than live on my knees !!!

Well as HMonk and some others said, if you have weeks to spare knock yourself out. But when you start having ctd's etc......:hmmm:

I can't understand why everyone wants to tweak the hell out of a great mod.

Well the change in the start date has meant you can play for much longer anyways as it got rid of that annoying CTD

The only difference between the two is that 4tpy would make it so your Generals live much longer than they already do. Which makes conquering far easier since your best will be around longer.

I personally like 4tpy but it would make things too easy(since the AI wouldn't get smarter in 4tpy to exploit the General longer lifespan) and that I think RS is too far to change completely like that. If I want 4tpy I'll play another mod balanced around it when I'm not on RS.

Well, it actually makes them stay around longer rather than live longer...they still die at the same age
