    Default Strongest Late Game Units?

I'm playing with Denmark atm and 100 turns in i am at the end of my tech tree's, and still my units are somewhat outclassed in many situations.

So, like the title suggests, which faction do you guys think have the strongest late game unit selection?

The most powerful unit in the game is the general's bodyguards.

No point trying to work your way around it.

Also The Polish guard now seems to be on par with Lancers.

Dontom, don't underestimate dismounted huscarls. They suck against many knight units until you give them some armor upgrades. With a nice armor upgrade, dismounted huscarls can definitely defeat DFK since they are an AP unit.

GB are still super powerful. DGK are one of the strongest late game infantry units.

When I checked the Polish Guard's stats, they paled before even the Gothic Knights, let alone the Lancers. The Lancers are still the shining star of western heavy cavalry.

Dontom, as Denmark you have a lot of powerful infantry rather than cavalry. I know Denmark has excellent shock infantry ala their axemen and Sword Staff Militia, and they have the Gotland Footmen which are not terrible at all. And Denmark can get the Norse War Clerics, which are some of my favorite units to have period. Also, most of your earlier units have Effective Against Armor, which really helps them lay waste to their heavily armored brethren.

Just because your units don't appear to be as heavily armored as your southern kin doesn't mean Denmark isn't a powerful nation in its own right. Get creative.

It's not really late game unit but .. Dismounted Halbbrüder is almost invincible

Nice suggestions on how to improve my Danish units. Should i just concentrate a bunch on getting armor upgrades? At the moment i am upgraded to Partial Plate armour in all of my Castles, how much higher do i need to go before my Dismounted Huscarls can go toe to toe with DFK?

Also, where do i find Norse War Clerics? I had a look through the buildings i have and couldn't find where to build them.

Ritterbruders aren't very strong in actual combat for whatever reason, but they are excellent for making the enemy rout. Usually locking the enemy with either Halbbruders or Dismounted Ritters followed by a cavalry charge will make even the most badass unit rout.

Norse war clerics are built from Abbeys and larger

I think you already are high enough. Open up a custom battle and put your huscarls against the DFK with different armor levels, but I think the first upgrade may be enough.

Gothic 'twin-pack' looks really awesome and AP is decisive in ss, but always carry some peasant archers to waste enimies' arrows....

Cossack gunners seem to make short work of most units.
