Best way to play Leon-Castille for SS6?
Decided to play another faction after my game crashed with England, still waiting for a answer or fix for it. My fist game I tried H/H and the Moors are kicking my but, said to myself I can't suck that bad, so tried again at H/VH the Moors are kicking my but. Anyone know how to best play Leon-Castille?

Re: Best way to play Leon-Castille for SS6?
Hi, im playing Aragon at the moment. Its pretty much the same as Castille.
The first and foremost thing to do is take over Palma, to build up a bit of economy.
One thing you should do the is ally yourself with Aragon, since the AI honors alliances now. After which you can attack Portugal and most of the time Aragon, or Castille in my case will gladly join you.
You can also do it the other way around, allying with Portugal and stabbing Castille or Aragon in the back, when i play Castille i usually find it very easy to eliminate Aragon early because they have only 2 towns, which also happen to provide a very steady economy if you take those
In the beginning it isnt that hard to get an alliance with the Moors so they wont attack you. It's possible to take Cagliari which is close to Sicily enabling you to sail to Tunisia an take that over and attack the Moors in the back from there. Ofcourse you may want to call on a Crusade when you do that.
I myself have taken the liberty of expanding into Egypt, but thats a risky plan.
Just make sure you dont go to war against the Moors on crusade or whatever until you are sure you can take their territory and can hold it as well, if you leave them alone or form an alliance early on they shouldn't bother you too much.
Lastly if you ally yourselves with Aragon or Portugal they are bound to attack the Moors who in turn will declare war on you because you are their ally, the same thing could happen the other way around, if you ally with the Moors you could get in trouble with Portugal and Aragon.
Hope that helps a bit.

Thankyou for the reply and tips Deadbolt. Leon-Castille starts out with two princesses. The first thing I did was creating alliances with Portugal and Aragon, using my princesses. I kept trade with the Moors on my first game but, few turns after they attack. Second game I tried going on the offensive right away and that was a mistake.
