    Default CTD after editing

Everytime I tried to edit the descr character trait txt file I got a ctd when I try to start any faction campaign game. It still ctd when I try to edit it to its original contents. The only way I can resolve the ctd is to revert back the backup file.

I can't now edit the immortal trait and the interloper trait effect, and I wonder why? I didn't have this problem with 1.0 before.

    Please help.

This in all probability is due to you using Windows Notepad or Wordpad to do the editing. These programs can not cope with the unusual characters present in some of the EB files. You need to use a more "manly" text editor such as Textpad, this is free and much quicker at editing files too and it copes with the odd characters present too.

Also, adding or removing traits are not save game compatible. Editting their effects, however, is.

Thanks for the help, I will try it again with the textpad later. Got to work now.
