Is it possible to upgrade missile troops?

Is it possible to upgrade missile troops with bronze weapon upgrade in the campaign map? What do I have to do with the EDB? (weapon_melee_blade 1) this is for melee how about missiles?

In order to upgrade the weapons of ANY unit, you must have a Swordsmith's Guild in that settlement (at least I think that's the right building). This usually only becomes available in Citadels and/or Huge Cities. I've only seen it being offered to be built in my citadels. Any and all non-gunpowder unit will have more powerful weapons when recruited/retrained in that settlement.

I have swordsmith's guild and no I can't upgrade my missile troop's melee weapon.I tried adding weapon_missile 1 but no it won't work. I can only get bronze weapon upgrade for melee units but that's if I add weapon_melee_blade 1 to swordsmith's guild to the EDB, What I need is the code that would allow me to upgrade my archer's melee weapon.

I don't think it's possible to upgrade ranged unit melee weapons. Also beware that weapon upgrades confer +6 bonus to attack value and therefore in SS the weapon upgrades are represented with chevrons

Well I simply want the upgraded weapon models, they seem cooler. U can upgrade all weapons (bronze weapon) except for siege weapons. Why can't I do it in the campaign? It seems that when u upgrade archers u upgrade both their bows and swords. Is this possible in the campaign map?

I want the improved models back godamnit. I loved upgrading elite troops with shinier weapons, or even making bog standard militia slightly better. It was too restrictive for me to just have the swordsmith guild HQ in 5.1 upgrade weapons. Perhaps just the one-per-faction Masters?
