Because they'll just get more money when they have less income
Because they'll just get more money when they have less income
I believe this was the case in 5.0 not sure about 6.0
If the Army and the Navy
Ever gaze on Heaven's scenes
They will find the streets are guarded
By UNITED STATES MARINES.
He who has shed blood with me shall forever be my Brother...

In 5.0 the AI seemed to get money whenever they got below a certain amount making there resources technically infinite. this could always be noticed because in a diplomacy screen any AI faction would almost certainly have "boundless" wealth.
In 6.0 i have never ever seen this, with 1 or 2 exceptions and those where very late into the game, the AI also seems to not be able to field an infinite number of stacks one after the other. Instead it seems to support smaller factions and factions that are almost wiped out.
In my last Cuman campaign for instance the Kievan Russ seemed to have a similar economy to a human player until i had reduced the Kievan Russ to 2 territories, after which they where still able to maintain several stacks, but not having the ability to infinitely create them one after the other like in 5.0
The new cash script doesnt make the AI feel like a weak cheater and actually makes the AI challenging yet realistic.
I would like to know how the script works exactly, but im not that bad at reading code( more too lazy ) but i dont know where to find the files, i would gladly rep anyone who could give me a definite explanation of the script and where to find it.
In my HRE campaign at the moment, Poland went to war with the Teutonic Knights, Lithuania, Denmark and myself. Waging such a multiple-front war lead to them quickly becoming bankrupt and asking me for a ceasefire. I've since began a march on Poland with a few armies to take most, if not all, of their territories. They've been able to produce one 75% strength stack and nothing more.
So I do believe that in 6.0, the computer can run out of money, just like a human can.
The ai gets less than 1000 easy medium and 2000 max or less on hard, very hard per turn. but they still have the chance for infinite money just might not be using it.
if Treasury < 5000
add_money faction 9000
so they can still field infinite troops they just aren't doing it. well not infinite just alot more than you.
I'am playing Lithuania and i have been blockading most of Denmarks cities for quite some time now. When I take a diplomat to Denmark i see their currency as "Bankrupt" so obviously something is working right here. They are also not building units as fast as before because of this, and for me, it feels much more realistisk now than before. I hope this explained some questions somebody was having.
This is a VH/VH game.
This is great this is one of the first things I do AGainst a nation im gonna invaded and in 5.1 it ws just for show.
I had no idea you got money for blockading is this true?
I have to say SS6 is full of surprises![]()
well done King Kong and his team![]()
Just like the elephant animation, this Carthage scenario is actually in the game, it just has a small percantage factor for showing up, that's all..."we're way way pre-alpha and what that means is there is loads of features not just in terms of the graphics but also in terms of the combat and animations that actually aren't in the game yet.So the final game is actually gonna look way way better than this!” - James Russell, CA
Beware of scoundrels
I believe that by blockading AI controlled ports you can divert trade to your own ports if you have the relevant trade relations and ports nearby, so it may increase your own wealth.
also the pope and the council of nobles will sometimes reward doing this so I'd say it's worth doing.
oh - they sometimes point out rebel settlements that way, it's a cue to get an army together and go capture somewhere that was formerly owned by an ally!
I'm pretty sure that the A.I. gets money bonuses, at least on hard and over. The A.I always seems to be able to field larger armies than me.
Not saying this is a bad thing, I actually think it's a good way to make up for the A.I. being not human.
