Also I want to point out that the Caspian see is green at the top...

He's right, i have them too. Although for me it was a tiny purple square somewhere in eastern Europe while i was playing the Cumans. I also saw the Caspian sea was partially green on the minimap in the upper right part, i never payed attention whether it was actually green or not but if other people confirm it i guess so.

One thing i also noticed Generals can still get both the "wife is a pleasant person to deal with" and "wife is an unpleasant person to deal with" traits at the same time, while i made a thread about that long ago

They can also still get traits like Tutor, which doesnt really do anything for them it seems, maybe it would if you kept em garrisoned in a city, but that just doesnt make much sense.

One last thing i noticed in my Norse campaign, i was trading wool in Great Britain and my Merchant get the "Specializes in exotic wares" trait -1 Finance, i mean come on, it was British wool from my York-trained merchant

On a side note, those councils your priests can be sent on for 1500, what does it actually do in detail, it seems to improve your priest stats sometimes, but its hardly noticeable.

    **snip**
I think the green is there because it is a water type that is "un-sailable".
I makes sure that no rebel fleet spawns there.

Don't take poison on that, I am not sure just guessing.

    Hi Chimaeira

I can live with the green water, but these blue lines...

    Hi Nick,

You really have an eye for details.

Well, these blue line also annoys me a bit, but if I would know how to fix it, I would have done it.
You may play around with ground types or heights if you know how to do this.

EDIT: I used photoshop to change the map, but you can also use any other program which can read and edit .tga files. (or use a tga to bmp converter and use windows paint as a simple solution)

I'm so annoyed we can't get this problem solved!!
    Let's list a few thing:

1: You tried reinstalling without patch 1.5. Check
2: You installed a different kingdoms campaign. Check
3: You correctly installed both parts 1+2 several times?
4: You are one of a few that has this problem. check.

What is your OS and in what language do you have M2TW installed?

    OS = operation system.

I think I might have fixed the problem of the blue line.

download my attachment and extract it into the Drive:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\data\world\maps\base folder.

Backup the old one first. After you have done this delete the map.rmw, start up the game, let the game recreate the map.rmw file and load up a (new?) campaign.

See if that works for you.

EDIT: Don't install the file yet, something is wrong. All my trees disappeared.

Allright Chim I'll try it out. It could take a couple of hours tough. I'am reinstalling MTW2 & Kindoms and for some reason it takes hours to install, it take me 5 hours yesterday to get the game onto my PC. I can't understand what the problem is cause I have a decent computer.

Anyways thx and I'll let you know when I tried it.

    No go
I tried and tried but I just can't find anything that looks like a river on that spot in the tgas.
(If you look closely you will see that it is water.) I'll continue the research, stay tuned.

Ok, yes it is indeed water that runs there...

Could it be that the mountains yust aren't close enough to eachother and what we are seing is the blank map, wich is made from water?

    Good thinking!
    Let me check.

PS: If we can resolve this we can start working on the black dots.

Ok I just changed the mountains to normal grass and the line is gone.
This confirms that the problem is in the ground types.
    This is so frigging annoying!
