Battle crashes

Having used the unpacker and had the files mysteriously not appear, the game now crashes when I try to begin a battle. How do I fix this?
(I have tried re-installing)

When you unpack the game 2 files make battles to crash delete the files name data\descr_geography_new.txt and data\descr_geography_new.db

But the none of the files that are unpacked end up in the SEGA folder, or anywhere I can find.

look for a .txt file, named SYSTEM.log


before you go there, play a battle (to have the crash), the go to the log, and attach it soo we can take a look

Hit the Start button and the click on your profile and turn off the user account control (or what the English name is) then you can find the medieval 2 files.

Could you tell me how you fixed your problem please? I am currently experiencing the same.
Sys log shows nothing. The game crashes once I click start battle.

Try deleting the files called descr_geography_new.txt and descr_geography_new.db
