    Default renaming faction through script?

    a friend of mine wants to create a provincial campaign for himself and he wants to rename milan to genoa through scripting.

    is there any possibility to do so?

    P.S: plz no answers like "why don't you simply add them as new factions and five them the milan units and banners?"

    The only way I know is like they did with Denmark and the Kalmar union in Kingdoms. But you'll need an extra faction slot for this.

    Just look at the Teutonic campaign's script.

    The guys from Dominon of the Sword claim that they have found another way, but they have not shared their solution yet.

    Oh yes, and SV manages to do that by copying some files around.

    now you only need to tell me who SV is (as I don't think dominon of the sword will give the possibility out)

    I think he is reffering to Sicilian Vespers a MTW2 mod (not Kingdoms).

    Edit: If you do find a solution, please PM me since I am interested in this aswell.

    A roundabout way of renaming a faction, after some in-game event, would be to use up a faction slot, as someone said, and invoke the 'give_everything' command to transfer all of the assets to the new faction. Then, the old one having no lands or family, would effectively cease to exist.
