I suppose this is good news. Success should be rewarded after all. It just seems Petraeus is the face of all that is good in the Iraq war to the public, and this might confuse the masses.

Congratulations to them all though. Hopefully this goes well.

I'm sad to see Petraeus go. I read an article in The Week about him and watched him on the news frequently. He seemed to be a great guy. This new man seems to be old though. (from pictures I have seen)

The new guy was Petreaus' Deputy so he should be good.

Also Petreaus will still be there except in charge of both Iraq and Afghanistan instead of just Iraq.
