    Default N. Carolina GOP Ad

The North Carolina GOP (Republican Party) is planning to run the above ad, obviously to hurt Obama in the upcoming NC primary. The message is "Obama: Too Extreme for North Carolina". Mccain has asked the NC Republican Party not to run the ad.

EDIT: Wow I totally misread the the link. I don't know how that happened. I thought it said, keep this add "off" the air, instead of "on" the air. Long day...

ing lol. Do you think the Republican presidential candidate doesn't have the pull to keep an ad like this made by a state committee from seeing the light of day? more than likely this is one of those "It would be wrong of me to bring up my opponent's hatred of America" style moves. It makes him look like a good guy by not making the insinuations that the people close to him have made, but still gives them plenty of airtime. It's essentially dirty politics Republican style at its best/worst.

At least I don't plaster on the makeup like a trollop, you C NT.

Yep. Class act right there. Quick question there Dan: how many times have you called your wife the "C"word, in public especially, but in any instance?

No he doesnt and its a fairly common occurrence of state level party doing their own thing. Its even becoming more common with completely unrelated third party entities doing it *cough* MoveOn.org. If Mccain didnt already have a well established history of class and credibility then maybe you'd have a point but he does. He isnt George Bush who Mccain knows first hand about with baseless attack ads.

Once...only once and I assure you she has called me worse more then that No one said Mccain was perfect btw just this particular thing is out of character of John Mccain so believing he had something to do with it without any evidence is pretty dubious. If this was Clinton or Bush then most certainly.

really? a BOOK to document the fact that 16 years ago he called his wife the c word? u've got to be kidding me. the bitterness and grasping at straws is really getting rediculous. it has come to the point where a book is written over someone calling other people names, which wont even be topical in a few months, and the democraps are all to eager to jump on for the ride.

Yep. It sure isn''t about the guy having serious anger issues, or being duplicitous, and is solely about McCain being a big meanie and calling someone a name once. Also, democraps.

Wow. Read the link will you. The man flew into a rage at an innocent little joke and called his wife a in PUBLIC. Also, many, many of his colleagues (even within his own party) have made comments regarding his anger problems and tendency to lash out at others. Is that really the type of guy you want having access to Armies and nuclear weapons?

McCain was still married and living with his wife in 1979 while, according to The New York Times' Nicholas Kristof, "aggressively courting a 25-year-old woman who was as beautiful as she was rich." McCain divorced his wife, who had raised their three children while he was imprisoned in Vietnam, then launched his political career with his new wife's family money. In 2000, McCain managed to deflect media questioning about his first marriage with a deft admission of responsibility for its failure. It's possible that the age of the offense and McCain's charmed relationship with the press will pull him through again, but Giuliani and Gingrich may face a more difficult challenge. Both conducted well-documented affairs in the last decade--while still in public office.
As far as Keating 5 thing goes Mccain and Glenn were ultimately found to have little actual involvement your own wiki link says that!
Gee whiz. Little actual involvement is exactly the same as no involvement, that's why it's the KEATING 3 instead of the KEATING 5, right? Also the fact that he's still just as cozy with lobbyists as he was then means he surely learned his lesson about impropriety...

The point he wasnt found to have done anything illegal and since then has established a record that is certainly more impressive then most senators. You are really digging here...answer this why doesnt anyone bring up whitewater with regards to Hillary? Answer because ultimately she and her hubby werent found to have done anything illegal. Now if you want to argue he got away with it or the Clinton's got away with it fine but I expect you'll have the proof ready if you do.

I suppose keep digging maybe you'll find a story about a time when a 8 yr old Mccain pulled some girl's hair as a kid.

what he may do, or what he might be doing now, is distancing himself from these unsavory tactics while sending his surrogates out to make these sorts of controversial arguments on his behalf.

i doubt it though, i believe McCain is genuinely a class act and like Obama, he'd like to focus on substantive issues.

I really need to get more sleep. Somehow I misread the link and the video as "keep this add off" the air instead of "on" the air. So I guess they are, atleast at the moment, defying Mccain.

whats funny is his own party isnt listening to him when he tells them to cease and desist. And i thought loyalty was important to republicans.

not taking orders from your own presidential nominee?! to the gulag, i mean, Guantanamo with you, terrorist!

McCain isn't all that well liked or respected with republican leaders and doesn't have all that much pull with anyone. Only if he becomes presidentwill he really have control of the party.

Good for NC GOP, though Obama is a extremist and it is finall coming out.

As a teenager, I was taken to various houses and flats above takeaways in the north of England, to be beaten, tortured and raped over 100 times. I was called a “white slag” and “white ****” as they beat me.
