    Default Merchant in this mod?

    Probably, this has been discussed already ... but since i'm new here, i'll ask a question anyway. Is it worthwhile to make a merchant in this mod? I remember that the income from merchant was pretty pathetic in vanilla (the last time i plaed total war was more than a year ago tho :p)

    Ive had single merchants making over 2000 a turn in this mod. Just have to find the right resources. I always make merchants, they pay for themselves in no time.

    Although the amount of resources has been reduced, merchants easily pay for themselves. As said some resources are far better than others so its worth looking around for the 'good' spots. Having said that 2000/turn seems high, so perhaps there still needs to be some tweaking done.

    Merchants where very good in 5.1, you just had to place them at the good spots. If so they could generate a lot of money.
    In this edition they got a boost and are even more worth while, you just have to locate those good resources. But theres usually a few 100+ spots even within a few turns walking.

    Hmm i always get set aside by the comp, so i dont take time to waste good money on useless merchants.

    merchants are always worth making for me so as I can get the merchant's guild.
