Default About Templar faction in Early Era ...

    Hi,

I downloaded SS6.0 last night, started to play Templar faction. It looked like it was an interesting choice since I was expecting that it would work somewhat differently than other factions. But, atm, it looks like Templars work exactly (almost) same way that other factions work. I mean ... leader/general can even get married??? As far as i know, knight members of Templars didn't get married. If a married knight wished to join the order, he would have to leave his wife. (and his wife was expected to make financial contributions to the order or simply became a nun.) Templars was a highly religious order, and i feel that all the generals of this faction should have higher than normal piety.

It would make a lot more sense if you can recruit generals of other western factions. Of couse, you can't just recruit any general that you want ... if a general is an important man, it would be hard/near impossible to recruit. Well, maybe, marriage is the only mechanism that is available to expand your 'membership' of the order, and can't be modded.

Also, maybe, Templars should have some more donations from their alliance. The amount/frequency of donations should decrease as the size of Templars increases.

You can marry a princess if you change the desc_sm (or something like that)file. Thats what I did. But for the sake of game play you wouldnt have a family tree if you couldnt marry and have kids. Remember this is a game and close to life historally accurate with a few minor details.

Honestly, I'm not even sure if Templars deserve an independent faction in the game ... hmmm

Oor the early era start date adjusted to 1100 so KoJ is already around. Knights Templar will always have chapter houses people can pull their units from.
