    Pagan Mongols Mod for Stainless Steel 6.0

    Background History:
    Genghis Khan, the unifier of the Mongolian nation, based his power on a mandate from Tengri himself, and began all his declarations with the words "by the will of Eternal Blue Heaven." The Mongols worshipped Tengri since their founding until 1312 when Islam was embraced by Mongol khans.

    Features:
    - The Golden Horde is now pagan and worship the supreme Turkic sky god Tengri
    - The Mongols can build Tengric altars, sanctuaries, and temples
    - The Mongols can recruit pagan priests and pagan high priests
    - New pagan priest and pagan high priest textures
    by Caesar Clivus
    - Includes All Factions Horde mod by Allu X
    - Includes correct adjectives for Novgorod, Fatimids, and Seljuks by Caesar Clivus

    Known Bugs:
    - Minor text error: Pagan priests listed as Imams in the recruitment screen (***will not be fixed because I would have to change the culture which would mess up all the buildings and mess up even more text)

    Please notify if you find any bugs.

    Installation Instructions:
    Open the zip file and drag and drop the "mods" folder into your C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War directory.

    Known Compatibility Issues for SS 6.0 mods:
    Increased Cost Of Buildings for 6.0 - IS NOT COMPATIBLE
    Emerging Jerusalem Order for 6.0 - IS NOT COMPATIBLE

    Please notify of any other compatibility issues.



    NO MAP BORDERS:
    (note that you will have to change the name of the file to "descr_sm_factions" and place it in your C:\Program Files\SEGA\Medieval II Total War\mods\Stainless_Steel_6\data folder after installing the Pagan Mongols Mod)

    just one thing. i have already got all factions horde mod. will it affect it in anyway?

    edit: 600th post....i about have a good feeling about this mod

    It will remove the ability for all factions to horde. I may add it in later versions.

    MCDS2:
    I could add it in a later version, but I just wanted to get the main gameplay features done.

    IceBeast:
    Changing the culture would also require me to change a lot of other stuff. There are other Eastern European factions besides the Cumans and Lithuania and that culture has orthodox, catholic, and pagan priests. I've already edited expanded.txt, too, that changes what the text says after recruitment.

    Master Zuma:
    There is no file named priests.tga anywhere in those folders.

    The only thing I could guess here, and this is only a guess, is try to change the Mongol culture from Middle Eastern to Eastern European. I know this makes no sense but Lithuania and Cumans are both EE and that made lead to the Imam problem. You'll just have to deal with the EE buildings. I'm looking into other solutions.

    EDIT: Ignore above, although that might be fun in general. I think what you want to change is in expanded.txt in /text. The lines you are looking for are:

    {EMT_MONGOLS_PRIEST_1}Mongolian Bishop
    {EMT_MONGOLS_PRIEST_2}Mongolian Cardinal
    {EMT_MONGOLS_PRIEST}Mongolian Imam

    I think you want to change that to Mongolian <whatever you want here>

    and SS6.0\data\ui\unit_info
    find there priest.tga and change them

    all i find in SS6.0/data/ui/units/mongols is naffatun, mongol infantry. and anyways this is the unit card not the name.
    how do we change the name so when you want to recruit it says priest not iman??

    No it didn't. It's a zip file and there are no program in it, only text files and image files.
