Have people ever thought that if McCain turns out to be a warhawk, and does invade Iran like he wants that it would be the end of the world?

Think about it for a moment.

Russia hates US, and is a very strong ally with Iran.
China is allied with Russia, and hates US.
North Korea doesnt care about China or Russia but hates the US beyond words.
South Korea would see their independance at stake and would ally with the US.
Canada, even though their armed forces suck, would be owned if the US was overtaken, so they would be on US's side.
UK could be at risk from Russia, and definitely Iran, and would probably come on side of the US.
France hates the US and would jump at the opportunity to help destroy the US, which would be a war between them and UK.

and countless other alliances.

Also because a conventional war in the US is not possible because there would be a gun behind every door nukes would be the only way to destroy US, which in turn the US and its allies would do a strike for revenge, which could wipe out much of the earth as we know it.

Not to mention all of the counless fallout that would cover much of earth that hadnt been nuked which would kill many more people.

I am neither democrat or repub. The repubs stabbed me in the back more than once, such as Bush, and the Terry Schivo incident, and the Dems think they can take away freedom of speech, guns, etc.

i lived in france for 6 months last year, never once came across a french person bad mouthing the united states. in fact... it was usually the opposite. they name their sliced bread after the united states.. and their generic cheese..

of course the above situation is slightly irrational, no point in giving it legitimacy by debating it though.

You obviously have no idea how the world works.

Too many countries are too economically dependant on each other. Not to mention collapsing the US market would benefit no one, save very small extremist groups, which couldn't start a world war.

Is there potential for conflict? Yes. World War? not in the foreseeable future.

First of all, hes as much a warhawk on iran as obama or hillary clinton are. Did you know that hillary said she would obliterate iran if iran nuked israel? obliterate. Secondly, where has McCain said that he wants to invade iran?

thirdly, don't assume that world war 3 will result in the end of the world, humans have an instinct for self preservation like any animal.

well, i am not an expert on other countries, but i am pretty sure China will avoid a war at all cost. A war means a stop on trade and investment and a stop on economic development, which is the only source of legitimacy the CCP attempts to claim at the present. Without spreading more eco benefit to the population, CCP will lose its already minimal support from the population. Therefore, CCP will avoid a war in pretty much all scenarios maybe except a foreign invasion.
