    Default question on bribing

    Im playing Aragon, has anyone ever been able to bride El Sid to join there faction. I have gone as far as cheating in order to create a fully stared diplomat and he still rejects me. I hate to kill such a great general but I have tried several times with no luck. Anyone else try and suceed? if so what did your diplomats stats look like?

    pretty sure its impossible mate... i asked the same question a coupla months ago and of the replies only one person said hed been able to, and that was with a princess. i offered him up to 1000000 and he still told me to bugger off. also when i use a princess the marry option doesnt actually come up. ill link the thread i made so u can read some of the replies i got

    It's nigh impossible to bribe rebels, in any version of MTW2 I've encountered.

    Which is quite strange if you ask me.

    it happens with rebel captins but almost never with rebel generals

    quick thought about El Cid. Should'nt he be a Spanish general? He wasent exiled until the summer of 1080.
