Help! I downloaded the 6.0 and got the 6.1 patch, and everything works perfectly until I try to start a late era campaign. It just crashes whenever I tryCould anyone help?
BTW the earlier versions that I tried are amazing!
EDIT: I can't do custom battles either!Looks like it's back to an earlier version for a bit then lol.

Try reinstalling all 3 parts (SS6.0 part 1, part 2 and 6.1) again over the top of your current installation. If you are using Vista, turn off UAC. If those dont work, check the FAQ and the threads in the Bug Reports subforum.
I did what you said, started a Golden Horde campaign, and it worked fine (just rreeaaaaallllllllllllllyyy laggy lol). I did a few custom battles, and not it crashes again!![]()
i have a problem.
when playing in campaign mode and i want to recruit armoured sergeants or armoured swordsmen (heavy infantery) and tell me i have to wait 5 turns till those units will be available. ok with that..... but that number 5 doesn't change when i am in a new turn... looks i am suposed to conquer the world with peasants :|

If I make two fleets and different docks and try to merge them on the first turn they are created it wont let me. It says the admiral doesnt want to give up his command or whatever. Does anyone know why this would happen?
I also have a question about the AI. I'm trying to find the AI with the best diplomacy. Ideally I don't want allies with whom I have good relations and who have reliable reputations to turn on me. Right now, if I leave a castle or city with only a few units guarding it , it seems my neighboring allies will send a stack to attack it ASAP, no matter what. If I leave a good sized army in the settlement then they never turn on me. I just feel like if i have really good relations with a faction and they are reliable, they shouldnt turn on me if I leave a settlement poorly guarded for a while. Which AI would you suggest for this? Thanks.

pelica, i think its easiest if you just reinstall Stainless Steel 6.1 and NOT check any of the options in the 6.1 patch besides "remove byg II army supply"
( just check the box next to that line) and you should be fine. You need to start a new campaign after that.
I have exactly the same problem!!! I have SS6.1 with Savage CAI and Germanicus' BAI and I get CTD while Egypt is having its turn. I am playing Kiev/Early Era/Turn 17-18.
The log says that there was an unspecified error and that's all!!! Damn.
