Royal Palace Question
how can i tell which settlements are able to build royal palace?
So far i know that Qahira Damascus and aleppo can build it.
Was this intended or is it a bug and that all settlements are
able to build them??

Re: Royal Palace Question
you can also fastforward the building queue by using the console command process_cq "Cityname" and see if the palace becomes available.
otherwise I donīt really see the issue. i always try to make do with what is available. especially if you expand you will find drafting your standard units difficult and you begin to rely on mercs much more. most mercs are dirtcheap for what they offer. for instance the italian footsoldier mercs with the hammer are solid and only cost 80 upkeep per turn.

Re: Royal Palace Question
I remember a few more locations: Konya, Baghdad, Kabul, Ghazni and Lahore. But then I don't know if Ayyubid Sultanate can build their Mamluks in those places as they are outside the AOR. Or if Ghorids can build their Ghulams in Damascus. I have never expanded that far..
Generally you can see it in the building browser, but in some cases that function is bugged. Royal Palace will show up for cities if you look in a castle, but once you rebuilt it it's not there.

Re: Royal Palace Question
The units trained from the Slave System (Slave Barracks/Royal Palace) are not affected by the AoR, so for example if you're the Ghorids, you can train your slave units in Damascus, and Mamluks in India if you're the Ayyubids.
It's a nice way to train some of your best units when you are outside your AoR.
