How do you win the Sons of Mars campaign (the tutorial)?

Despite winning many campaigns for the past months, I still can't win this apparently easy campaign. My problem is that I can't raise my reputation with the plebs and the senate to a sufficient level that would allow me to declare war.

I found the only option to rush and crush. Rush the greeks, and crush the gauls. That gives you a good base, then develop and make one good army.
Go after the other greeks or thracians.

you can't save can you? i heard once that at a certain moment you can save, when is that?

I don't know much about the Sons of Mars either, as I just read the manual. But usually, to get pleb support, just conquer as much as you can. Build up some armies early, and as soon as your pleb support is high enough, attack.

You can save when the advisor tells you that you can do what you want. That is after the second Greek city that you conquer.

I think that's only the tutorial and intro to the main campaing.

I believe you can simply try to assassinate another Roman faction's family member, and once you get caught, you will be outlawed, thus starting the civil war.
