formations for musketeers
I've been doing a bit of text editing for the Cossack musketeers, to make their muskets act realistically, not like vanilla has them.
I think I got almost everything perfect. One shot from a musketeer unit destroys a quarter of a peasant unit. though this is more consistent with later firearms (17th century perhaps), it's still much more realistic than people getting shot in the face and just flinching and going back to fighting.
here is my gripe:
I edited the "untrained" part which refers to the 'neatness' of their formation, and I changed it to "trained". Is this the 'best' neatness of the formation available? I want them to act like a disciplined formation. what is the highest possible 'neatness'?
also, is it possible to add a "captain" to the formation? Like in R:TW, you had greek commanders accompany the hoplites, and centurions with roman cohorts. if so, how?
thanks. if you have any other suggestions for making the musketeers act more like 17/18th century ones, please let me know.
thanks
