how do i remove a trait or edit it?

you have to find the actual name for the secretly female trait in the descr_traits folder (in this case I think the actual name is the same as the one that appears in the game). Then just bring the character outside and select them(you have to see the green selection field) and type in remove_trait this SecretlyFemale 1.

You mean from the game files? Yea you can, you just have to delete the section on that trait in the descr_trait folder and remove it's trigger, and then you have to remove all instances of it in the other files. I havn't done it myself, so you might want to search the forums for someone who has.

Go to \data folder of mod, or unpack vanilla file so that you have

export_descr_character_traits.txt

Open in Notepad and find SecretlyFemale trait, now find again to get to the triggers eg.

do not worry if its not exactly the same. Now just put a ; in front of all the lines to comment them out eg

That is the safest and easiest way to go. You could delete the trigger, but what happens if you want it again? So use comments.
