I just instill unpack_all, names (the name of the text file) is not there. Do I need to install list_contents?

In the other total war games, names (the name of the text file) ask you to put the new name in for reference.

copy the unpack all .bat file and edit so that it looks something like

    unpacker.exe --source=..\..\packs\*.pack --destination=c:\packs --filter=*name*.* --verbosity=1

That will unpack all files with 'name' in them to a c:\packs folder. Then just find the ones you want.

To err is human, but to really foul things up you need a computer.

If you update the data\descr_names.txt file then you will have to update data\text\names.strings.bin as well. Convert it with Alpaca's nifty Bin Strings Converter. (Can't remember the link, but a search will point you there)
