Do you know any mod that starts in the 7th, 8th, 9th or 10th century which includes Europe, Asia, Africa and Arabia?
So...kinda bored now, so...recommend me a mod (or submod)
Requirements:
Balanced
Well developed or finished
Bit slower gameplay than vanilla, no excessive stack spam
not one of these (played them already):
KGCM (or submods)
TATW submods DaC or MOS
EBII
DBM
DLV
SS
THERA
I'm vaguely interested in playing the original campaign: I suddenly miss the Papal States. Problem: I'm on Windows 10, so the original CD doesn't work. Kingdoms does, though.
So I see there are two mods here that claim to bring the original campaign in to Kingdoms.
Which would you recommend?
Rise of Mordor 3D Modelers Wanted
Massive Overhaul Submod Units!
Under the proud patronage of
Frunk of the house of Siblesz
Oh...forgot to exclude SS mods.

Your problem with that mod will not lie in the reason you stated (the one I deleted), check here if you proceeded correctly with the installation, the method works for steam and disk.
I'm quite sure that the thing which shall not be named is the reason.
I have disk version, and I keep two copies on drive. One in which I install all mods and includes...that, and one fresh installation for backup purposes. What happened is this:
Install 6.3 in the M2TW folder with mods. Run it to verify proper installation-worked
Install 6.4 over it, as should be. Crash. Ran it again, just to check if it is the first startup crash that some mods have (like EB2), crash again.
Grabbed the whole SS folder, moved into mods folder of fresh installation, ran it-worked.
And since I'm running other mods off the primary copy successfully, it is quite unlikely that this one is messed up. Making thing which shall not be named the primary suspect.
Edit: and no copy is in Program Files or Program files(x86) folder. I know Windoom too well for that.

Damn, it's been a while. Looking to get back into it. Can someone link me to decent mod pages? Hopefully some old timers still kicking it too.

Swords don't kill people, people with swords kill people.

Guys,
Which mod would you recommend that deals with the XV-XVI centuries with the map larger than Europe itself, preferably with the Americas, as well?
Don't have any suggestions on that one... I'm still using SS 6.4 ( usually early campaign )... Out of the mods I've tried, I think it's one of the best...
There's a couple of mods which are trans-Atlantic, such as Falcom Total War, Expanded Americas and Eras Total Conquest.
With Fire and Sword 2 is Europe-only but is in that XVI timeframe, as is Colonies & Empires (not yet released) but it's Americas-only. 1648 is definitely worth checking out, too.
Hi,
I tried playing The Kingdoms Grand Campaign mod, but the mod does add more factions than there are in kingdoms. It makes the map much bigger. I also tried playing the vanilla+ mod, it just does the same.
What I am looking for is a mod that doesn't change very much, just adds the factions. Nothing else.
Thread moved to the Mod Questions & Recommendations thread.
Those are probably the closest you'll get to what you're looking for, I'm not aware of any mod that just adds the factions from Kingdoms.
stainless steel is probably the mod for you i personally prefer the massive overhaul themed mods myself though so i havent tried many of the expanding base game only mods
